Hi, I’m Sadie Radinsky, the writer and recipe creator behind Whole Girl.

My teen empowerment / healthy cookbook Whole Girl: Live Vibrantly, Love Your Entire Self, and Make Friends with Food is out now!

A bit of background…

My interest in wellbeing and food began when I was nine years old. In fourth grade, I got sick with terrible stomach aches and fatigue for half a year. When no doctors knew what was wrong, I tried going gluten-free and grain-free. This transformed the way I felt. I went from being sick and tired, to having loads of energy! But I was missing out on my favorite of food (and arguably one of my favorite parts of life): DESSERTS. Necessity is the mother of invention, so I began baking myself gluten-free, grain-free treats using nutrient-dense ingredients. They were really good. I became obsessed with baking and inventing recipes.

I started this site in 2014, when I was 12, to share my recipes, as well as ideas and insights on well-being and empowerment. My goal was, and is, to help my fellow teen girls feel good and love themselves. Since then, it has expanded into a beautiful community, and I am so excited for you to be a part of it.

A little bit more about me: I’m a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Global Studies, because I want to work in international food justice.

When I’m not in the kitchen procrasti-baking, I can be found trail running, reading a book, doing yoga, singing, playing guitar, attempting to learn piano, hiking, eating, eating, eating, or playing fetch with my two pups Neo and Mikey.
